Avlosef Capsule 500 mg contains Cephradine, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is effective against many Gram-positive and some Gram-negative organisms, making it a reliable choice for common infections affecting different parts of the body.
Cephradine works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, ultimately leading to the destruction of bacteria. It is commonly prescribed due to its proven efficacy, safety profile, and good tolerability.

Composition
-
Active Ingredient: Cephradine
-
Strength: 500 mg
-
Dosage Form: Oral capsule
Mechanism of Action
Cephradine exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing the formation of peptidoglycan, an essential structural component of the bacterial cell wall. This leads to weakening of the cell wall and eventual bacterial cell death.
