Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder caused by a deficiency of dopamine in the brain. This deficiency leads to symptoms such as tremors, muscle stiffness, slowness of movement (bradykinesia), and impaired balance. Levodopa is converted into dopamine in the brain, helping to restore motor function.
