Composition

Each ml contains:

• Gentamicin Sulfate 0.30% (Ophthalmic)

Indications

Gentabac Eye Drop is indicated for the treatment of:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye)
• Blepharitis (eyelid infection)
• Keratitis caused by susceptible bacteria
• External ocular infections
• Post-operative bacterial infection prophylaxis (as prescribed)

Pharmacological Action

Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that works by:

• Binding to bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit
• Inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis
• Producing defective bacterial proteins
• Leading to bacterial cell death

It is effective against many Gram-negative and some Gram-positive organisms.

Dosage & Administration

• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by physician
