Composition

Each capsule contains:

• Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg

This selective alpha-1A blocker acts specifically on the urinary tract smooth muscles.

Indications

Hi-Flow Capsule is indicated for:

• Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Urinary obstruction due to enlarged prostate
• Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) such as:
  • Difficulty in urination
  • Weak urine flow
  • Nocturia (night-time urination)
  • Urgency and frequency of urination

Pharmacological Action

Tamsulosin works by:

• Blocking alpha-1A adrenergic receptors in the prostate and bladder neck
• Relaxing smooth muscle in the urinary tract
• Improving urine flow rate
• Reducing bladder outlet resistance
• Relieving obstructive urinary symptoms

It is selective, minimizing effects on blood pressure compared to non-selective alpha blockers.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual dose: 0.4 mg once daily after the same meal each day
• Swallow capsule whole; do not crush or chew
• Should be taken consistently at the same time daily
• Dosage adjustment may be done under physician supervision

Contraindications
