Itrazen Capsule 100 mg contains Itraconazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal medication used to treat a wide range of fungal infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of fungi, making it effective in conditions affecting the skin, nails, mouth, lungs, and systemic fungal infections.
This medicine is commonly prescribed when infections are persistent, recurrent, or resistant to simpler antifungal treatments.

Mechanism of Action
Itraconazole works by inhibiting the fungal enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, which is essential for the synthesis of ergosterol. Ergosterol is a key component of fungal cell membranes. By blocking its production, Itraconazole disrupts cell membrane integrity, leading to inhibition of fungal growth and eventual cell death.
