Cough Suppressant
Lemonika Syrup 31.25 mg/5 ml is indicated for:
Management of dry, non-productive cough
Relief from throat irritation and discomfort associated with coughing
Symptomatic treatment of cough due to minor throat and upper respiratory tract irritation
Lemonika Syrup exerts its action primarily through the demulcent properties of Citric Acid. Citric Acid helps relieve irritation of the mucous membranes of the throat by forming a protective soothing film over the inflamed surface. This protective layer reduces the sensitivity of the throat to irritants, thereby decreasing the cough reflex and providing symptomatic relief.
After oral administration, Citric Acid is readily absorbed. It is a naturally occurring substance in the human body and is widely distributed throughout various tissues. Its well-established safety profile makes it suitable for short-term management of dry cough when used as directed.
The dosage should be followed as prescribed by a healthcare professional or according to age-based recommendations:
Children 1–5 years: 5 ml up to 4 times daily
Children 6–12 years: 10 ml up to 4 times daily
Adults and children above 12 years: 20 ml up to 3–4 times daily
The syrup should be measured using a proper measuring cup or spoon to ensure accurate dosing.
No known drug-drug interactions have been reported with Lemonika Syrup when used as directed.

If any adverse effects occur or persist, medical advice should be sought.
There are limited data available regarding the use of Lemonika Syrup during pregnancy. Information on its excretion into human breast milk is insufficient.
