Indications

Sodicrom Eye Drop is indicated for:

• Allergic conjunctivitis
• Seasonal allergic eye irritation (hay fever-related eye symptoms)
• Perennial allergic conjunctivitis
• Eye itching and redness due to allergens such as dust, pollen, or animal dander
• Prevention of recurrent allergic eye reactions

Mechanism of Action

Sodium Cromoglicate works by stabilizing mast cells in the conjunctiva, preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators responsible for allergic reactions. By inhibiting this release, it reduces symptoms like itching, redness, and tearing, and helps prevent future allergic flare-ups when used regularly.

Dosage & Administration

• Usually instilled 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) 4 times daily or as directed by a physician
• For prevention, regular use during allergy exposure periods is recommended
• Wash hands before application
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination
• Continue use even after symptom improvement for best results

Precautions
