Zervin 0.24% Eye Drop is an ophthalmic antihistamine formulated for the relief of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis. It contains Cetirizine Hydrochloride 0.24%, a potent H1 histamine receptor antagonist that selectively inhibits histamine-mediated allergic responses in the eye. This helps reduce redness, itching, and discomfort caused by seasonal or perennial ocular allergies.

Ophthalmic Anti-Allergic Preparation
H1 Receptor Antagonist
Cetirizine Hydrochloride, the active component in Zervin, works by blocking H1 histamine receptors on ocular tissues. This antagonism prevents the typical allergic symptoms of redness, itching, and tearing. In vivo and ex vivo studies in animals show that cetirizine has minimal anticholinergic or antiserotonergic activity, making it highly selective and well tolerated. In vitro studies confirm negligible binding to receptors other than H1, highlighting its targeted action for ocular allergy relief.
